Light Church Updates
As stated in previous meetings and discussions, the Light has been under restructuring processes. It has always been the heart of the Light community to serve the creative community in our city and create a space to draw closer to God with passion. In order to refocus and pursue where God is leading, the Light will continue Collective Visioning Meetings throughout the summer beginning May 20th. John and Maria will serve as the primary staff for the Light Church. The meetings, 5pm at the Methodist Church, will include worship and prayer in addition to planning for the upcoming fall. There will also be planning retreats over the summer. For more information, please contact John and/or Maria Kovacs.
Stepping Stone Ministry Updates
After much prayer, Phil Yang is following his conviction and heart for Stepping Stone Ministry, and will be starting as new Full Time Pastoral staff in August of 2012. Shani Carter will focus mostly on Stepping Stone Ministry as part time staff, especially in the Fall of 2012, the season when we will need the most amount of help. To kick off the school year, we’ll be having the Fall Serving Community Retreat from 8/31-9/2. In addition, we will be reconvening on Homewood Campus for Sunday service at our previous 4pm time and place (Mudd Hall) starting from 9/9.

New Church Plant Information
There has been much prayer and thought put into the upcoming new church plant. It will be named Grace Life Church, because through Pastor Roger’s prompting from God; that church will carry the core values and heart of what our Grace Life Network of churches has been about these many years.
This church will be the first multi-generational church in the network. And it is our hope that once it is planted that it will serve as the stable base/mother church/flagship for the Grace Life Network for years to come as we continue to move forward "to make disciples of all nations." Matt 28:19
The Core group of leadership will be different structurally than previous plants, and the location will be determined by those who will be involved. The church plant will launch potentially as early as September 2012, with a second possible launch date of the 1st week in February 2013. Pre-plant work starts immediately. We are currently in the stage of recruiting and getting the word out. Formal meeting times for discussion and planning will be announced soon, with 1-2 weekly meetings for those who qualify to serve in the leadership team. For more information, please talk to Pastor Roger and the rest of the Pastoral Staff.
Network Wide News
There is a need as we move forward to retool the structure of out Grace Life Network. Currently, we have a Network Leadership Team that meets to discuss and wrestle through ministry changes. While it is affective in many ways, it is not the most ideal structure. As we move forward into this new season in the life of our church, it will be important for us to be in prayer as our leadership seeks to change the leadership structure to what God is leading. Plans for the New Network Structure will be announced by Sept 2012.
